Sovran's blog: MoO2 Status Update & Excerpt

Several folks have asked, including one via PM who doesn't accept return PMs, so I thought I'd provide what information I can about the rest of MoO2. The next chapter, number 26 by my count, is in early beta. Later early beta than it was a couple of weeks ago, so there is progress. Under ideal circumstances, it would be posted in about 3 weeks. In the real world, it will probably be longer, but it's still visible in the distance.

I'm not a fan of these, not by a long shot, but knickergate takes the biscuit.

Those who missed the original posting (it's been pulled) can catch up here http://www.journalfen.net/community/unfunnybusiness/278962.html whilst the comments can be found here http://www.siye.co.uk/siye/news.php?action=newsstory&nid=1435

What really disappoints me, is that no one mentions the Nazis or Hitler! What is the internet coming to, eh?

You can now find three stories of mine online for free:

parakletos's blog: My main PC has died

I wont boot up properly. I'm getting an error message about PTES but as I can't actually get in I can't begin to troubleshoot things. It's been booting up slowly recently so I did a new back up of EVERYTHING just in case.

I don't have anyone locally that I can use to fix it anyone any ideas where I can start? I have my Win 7 disk so I can to a complete install.

Its not the end of the world because I have this laptop and 2 XP machines but dam annoying.

          X-posted to LJ.

Rhetor's blog: Kickstarter: 3 days left, 69% funded

My Kickstarter project ("Are you the agent or the controller?") is 69% funded, with three days remaining.

I am awestruck and honored by the support I have received. A few days ago one of my friends publicized the project on Facebook, and two brand-new backers joined the gang as a result!

But that last $791.22 is going to be crucial.

parakletos's blog: Posting 'Sins' at SIYE

The published story is getting to the point where I'd consider posting it at SIYE. I'm not ready yet, partly because I don't want to make readers wait too long for the plot to develop as, well, I think they'd get confused. I don't think that there's much I'd need to change to fit in with the requirements other than the removal of the f-word, but I may be wrong.

              Anyone care to assist?

              Rhetor's blog: Fanfic Contest. Paid.

John Scalzi, Wil Wheaton and Subterranean Press are offering to publish, and pay professional rates for, a winning fanfic entry based on the weird illustration appearing at this Web page:

                http://whatever.scalzi.com/2010/05/30/fanfic-contest/

This is a benefit for the Lupus Alliance of America.

It's also seriously twisted. Have fun.

rbackwards's blog: I, too, am not dead.

Okay. Baby, travel, floods, no sleep. But everyone is healthy, though the parents are exhausted. And because of the travel, there is - lo and behold! - time to write. Fourteen-and-a-half thousand words, probably fifteen by the time this chapter is done in a couple of days - then the two betas gnaw its bones, and then it's up. I hope everyone likes relentless character study and never knowing what happened when or why anything is the way it is. In other words, it's more of the same. Now with even more death, and Nutella.

Sovran's blog: Status update (such as it is)

I'm still alive. I'm taking two courses at once and sniffing around the job market, all of which are taking up a lot of time. I'm also having to do some spring-related work on the house, which is taking up even more time. I have a wife around here somewhere, and she seems to like to take up my time. I've recently discovered that sleep is, in fact, necessary, and it takes up a shocking amount of time if you let it.

So I have very little time.
